It's Monday

Today is just a day.  It is a day that some love and some hate.  It is the day before Monday.  The last day of the weekend.  I have often wondered why we get so worked up over a day of the week ... we say it with dread, like a fountain of distain is rolling from our lips .... It's MOONNNNDDDAAAYYY!  If we look around us, we realize that MOONNNNDDAAAYYYY is a day of the week that we are afforded to get out of the bed, put our two feet on the floor and LLLLIIIIVVVVEEEE (Do you appreciate my overuse of caps and drawn out words?  I hope so).  I was talking with a friend today about the story of the man at the Pool of Bethesda.  That story has always stuck with me.  In John 5, Jesus ministers to a man that was living in an ongoing state of despair.  In an instant, he was given the opportunity to have a new life.  He always had a reason why he couldn't make it to the pool (he didn't have anyone to put him int he pool, others beat him down, and so on).  Jesus came, met him and offered him new life.  As we get ready for the first day of the week, ask yourself this question "Who can you touch tomorrow?"  Ask God to show you a person that you can touch, help get to the pool to get new life.  As a Christian, I am thankful for the opportunity to help others get to the place of healing, the place of restoration, the place of refreshing. God is giving new life.  No more dread on MOOONNNNDDDAAAYYY.  It is a day of new life, new beginnings and new opportunities.

Happy Day!
